MANCC is pleased to announce the creation of a pilot partnership with The McKnight Foundation in collaboration with Springboard for the Arts to provide developmental residencies in 2012 for Minneapolis based choreographers Penelope Freeh and Megan Mayer.

This strategic alliance represents a momentous initiative to leverage additional resources for Minnesota based artists and explore how to best support regionally based artists through a national program.  In recent years, several choreographers have received McKnight Artist Fellowships for Choreographers and MANCC Choreographic Fellowships including HIJACK, Emily Johnson, Morgan Thorson, Otto Ramstad and Olive Beiringa.

Recognizing the large gap that exists regionally and nationally for artists to develop new work, this opportunity provides an avenue to build upon shared artistic interest, and explore ways to increase our collective capacity to advance choreographic research and inquiry.
